Electronic Musicmakers: Spend 2 whole days learning how to NAIL a track with ZOiD @ Factory Studios in Bristol this December!

Do You Want To Get The Feeling

You've Put EVERYTHING You've Got Into

A Track And It's Paid Off?

In This Weekend Workshop, You Will Have The Support, Time And Space To

Take One Of Your Tracks To A Level You Have Never Got To Before, By Immersing Yourself In Music with:

  • Your own studio space to work in uninterrupted so you can attain a flow state

  • Listening and feedback sessions to know you're on the right track

  • Like-minded people around you to make the atmosphere perfect for creating

  • Optionally use extra gear like a tb-303, mc202 etc to add to your tracks (full list below)

The idea for this workshop came from the time I went to RBMA in 2006 in Melbourne as a participant. Along with the likes of Mashmello, Flying Lotus, Aloe Blacc, Oddisee and many others. that was one of the best 2 weeks of my life, an incredible opportunity to meet people and make and immerse myself in music.

All these years later I'm finally taking the first steps towards that, with this 2-day In-person Musicmaking Weekend workshop in Bristol.

Factory Studios is an iconic and creative place with a suite of studios that have been used by everyone from Massive Attack to IDLES.

Here's your chance to spend 2 whole days there working on a track, with guidance and mentorship from me, ZOiD, feedback sessions, hanging out in the evenings with the other participants, using some iconoic pieces of gear listed below (if you want).

What You'll Do On The Workshop

  • Work in your own studio space with guidance from ZOiD, uninterrupted by anything for 2 whole days!

  • Attend listening sessions of your work-in-progress

  • Optionally use some vintage gear like Roland's TB303 and MC202

  • Hang out with like-minded producers in the evenings

  • Enjoy the creative space of Factory Studios to get in the zone

  • Use the time to get deep into flowstate working on your music

What This Workshop Is NOT:

  • A way to learn how to make x, y, or z genre of music - this is open to makers of ANY genre of electronic music as long as it's what YOU want to make

  • A way to make music that sells or gets millions of streams - hey, who knows, you might get those things, but that's not the purpose of it. We're here to work on expressing ourselves through music! Once you become your own biggest fan, then there's a chance you will gain many more fans.

  • A way to get distracted by using bits of gear for a whole weekend - yes some gear will be available to use IF YOU WANT, but do not use it to distract yourself from the focus: MAKE MUSIC FOR MANY HOURS. Get into the free flowing state of creating, using the tools you are already familiar with: your DAW and whatever you normally use.

Testimonials for ZOiD's Other Programs:

Kevin Nolan

I can’t recommend this course enough if you want to take your music production to the next level and finally finish your tracks. Daniel brings serious expertise and deep knowledge from the worlds of electronic music, jazz, and the psychology of creativity. He delivers it all in a warm and encouraging way, helping you stay focused, build consistent habits, and “put in the reps” to create the music you’re truly capable of.

Michael Adaptogenik

I’m really happy I signed up for the 10 month program as it pulled together many scattered aspects of my music making and gave me a focus, a community of producers who inspire me and a some accountability so that week to week I improved and I no longer feel stuck and unfocused. I’m very confident that I’ll have some great tracks ready to release by the end of the course.

David Kitt (New Jackson):

I did some lessons with ZOiD after seeing his Aphex Twin Analysis videos. He showed me some music theory stuff which was which was really easy to understand and opened up the guitar to me in fun and inspiring ways. can't wait to do more lessons. He's a great teacher - Recommended!

Eamonn Doyle (D1 Recordings):

“Daniel is an exceptional guitar and music teacher. His ability to connect and relate the lessons across a wide range of genres allows for a very personalised approach. His deep knowledge of guitar techniques and theory helped clarify many things I’d been struggling with for many years, even within the first few lessons. Highly recommended !”

Ursuala Meany Scott:

I had been wanting to learn more about music production for a while but have always felt put off by the kind of guys promoting courses. This course has been the antidote to all that aggressive noise in the production world. ZOiD is inclusive, honest, quirky, and so generous in sharing his process and experience. I can highly recommend it.'

Colin Lawlor (Binomial Tunes):

ZOiD is a fantastic tutor and I'd recommend this course to anyone needing guidance or inspiration in terms of generating and developing song ideas or those seeking to improve their production, arrangement and sound design skills.

ZOiD is helpful, enthusiastic, positive, approachable and encouraging. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this course to everyone from first timers to more experienced artists - even chancer hobbyist DIYers like myself! Honestly, if you are even vaguely thinking about doing this course, just go for it - you won't regret it.
